Paymentsense bought James Maclean in as CD and myself as Design Director after initially outsourcing the design of a new logo and not knowing where to take the brand forward from there. Inheriting a team of mid and junior creatives, we started the task at hand of rebranding the whole B2B company at every level, from print to screen and online media. As we weren’t allowed to change the logo itself, we used this as our starting point for colour and what we can build around it visually. As a fintech company focusing mainly on start ups, we came up with a blueprint creative as our baseline to represent the beginnings of a growing business. We bought in Jake Dearlove as Head of Copy, two creative teams, project managers and some freelancers to help manage the huge task we had at hand to generate a consumer friendly, transparent, accessible payments system company that has since gone from strength to strength and is now the largest in store payment company in the UK.
